2026 Metros FC TRYOUTS

You may request a tryout by pre-registering at the link, or by contacting us by email. If you do send email, please be sure to include your gender and date of birth so that we can direct your request appropriately. Send mail to travel@gatessoccer.org

Note that in some cases, where player ability and skill may warrant it, a player may join a team in the age group +1 year. This requires approval of the travel program coordinator and coaching staff. Players may not "play down" to a lower age group. Contact us for more information regarding age groups for travel soccer.

Metros FC is powered by volunteers. Volunteering at the team level is encouraged, and we're here to see that you have the information you need to be a successful volunteer. Coaching or assisting at team practices, managing a team, or volunteering with one of the club's hosted events, these are a few ways to become involved. Contact us with any questions.

Metros FC offers an organized, enjoyable travel soccer experience structured for every stage of development. We guide players from foundational skills and fun in our 9U-12U groups to higher-level competition in our 13U-19U divisions.

Metros Travel Soccer programs offer a competitive soccer environment for the enjoyment of our players and their families. Training is an essential part of any travel soccer program. Many of our teams train in indoor facilities throughout the fall and winter months and into the pre-game season. Players must attend a tryout to be considered for placement on a Metros Travel Soccer team.

Travel soccer is a great environment for competitiveness and high-level skills training. Any players considering making the jump to a traveling team should be made aware of the following:

• You will be required to try out and will be placed on a team according to ability.
•  Higher level development. Technical and tactical skills are taught along with rules of the game to prepare players  to compete with teams inside / outside of Monroe County and for high school competitive level of play.
• Players looking to play in a more competitive level , high school,  college and beyond should seriously consider joining a travel team for development and to hone their skills.
• Travel soccer can be more expensive than recreational soccer. It can incur costs from professional coaching,  increased practice time and travel expenses.
• There is no guarantee of playing time. The best players play. The best players typically come about as a result of practice, repetition, and discipline
