Metros FC serves all levels of players and serves both girls & boys equally. The goal of this travel soccer program is to show players how much fun they can have learning the sport of soccer while teaching them the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fitness. Metros FC considers the U09-U12 age groups to be developmental, while the ages U13-U19 are typically increasing levels of competitive play. Travel Soccer is an organized, safe, and enjoyable soccer experience for youth players who want to participate throughout the school year.

You may request a tryout by pre-registering at the link, or by contacting us by email. If you do send email, please be sure to include your gender and date of birth so that we can direct your request appropriately. Send mail to travel@gatessoccer.org

Note that in some cases, where player ability and skill may warrant it, a player may join a team in the age group +1 year. This requires approval of the coaching staff and the travel program coordinator. Players may not "play down" to a lower age group. Contact us for more information regarding age groups for travel soccer.

Metros FC Travel Soccer programs offer a competitive soccer environment for the enjoyment of our players and their families. Training is an essential part of any travel soccer program. Many of our teams train in indoor facilities throughout the fall and winter months and into the pre-game season. Players must attend a tryout to be considered for placement on a Metros FC team.

Travel soccer is a great environment for competitiveness and high-level skills training. Any players considering making the jump to a traveling team should be made aware of the following:

• You will be required to try out and will be placed on a team according to ability.
•  Higher level development. Technical and tactical skills are taught along with rules of the game to prepare players  to compete with teams inside / outside of Monroe County and for high school and college level of playing.
• Players looking to play in a more competitive level , high school,  college and beyond should seriously consider joining a travel team.
• Travel soccer can be more expensive than recreational soccer. It can incur costs from professional coaching,  increased practice time and travel expenses.
• There is no guarantee of playing time. The best players play.

A payment plan divides registration fees into equal payments, and will automatically deduct from the credit card or checking account you provide at checkout.
